Here is another issue that comes up in most discussions: Charging for the readings.
People begin with asking if the reader should charge for the reading in the first place. And then if the answer for the basic question is a ‘Yes’ then the question is how much should a reader charge.
Let’s examine the questions one by one.
When you go to the grocery store and pick up a bottle of milk or ketchup, you have to pay for it, don’t you? Ostensibly, I am not selling milk or ketchup. But when I do a reading, but I am spending my time and my energy. Among other things, a reading can also be a drain on the reader. Sometimes, we need to take special care after the reading to ensure that the client’s negative energies do not stick on to us.
Yes, most readers are gifted. But then it comes with a price. And most of the time, the reader has to pay the price.
Besides which, if you receive something, you have to give something back. It’s a matter of exchange.
I firmly believe, (and this life has taught me the hardest way possible) that nothing is free. “There are no free lunches”: I believe that’s how the saying goes, isn’t it?
Now let us examine the amount that you charge.
Take an account of the time and energy that you will be spending on the client in a reading. Charge accordingly. Charge what you feel is right.
Although we have a gift, it also comes with responsibility. You are out there to help people who need guidance. It is a service on some level.
Make sure you are very clear about your objectives as a reader. Charge an amount that you will be comfortable with asking and receiving at the same time.
However, at the end of the day, I believe it is the call of the individual reader to decide. Go with what makes you comfortable.
I love this article I am a reader/ medium I ask for 20.00 dollars a reading I charge very little because I benifit as well as my customers I see them recieve wisdom and I recieve them comming back over and over because I don’t charge and arm and a leg I also see them grow and I get feedback that is wonderful so both parties benifit but the reader does get to wear all the stuff and problems that the seeker comes with but there are ways too keep it at bay from affecting us a great way is to wash off with water it removes the negitivity I also do spiritual work and cleansings so I speak from experience it is not easy but we are gifted for reasons and the biggest one is to help the soul learn and expand before it leaves earth Love Liz PL:)
