Your Tarot cards get tired with frequent handling. They are attuned to your energy and when you read for other people, their energies rub off on them. Therefore it is essential to charge or re-charge your cards from time to time.
There are several methods how you can charge your cards.
- Put all your cards in the upright position.
- Put all your cards in order – from the Fool card to the World card, and then follow with all the four suits.
- Smudging is an interesting method. Hold your cards in the smoke of a smudge or incense stick while visualizing a ball of white light enveloping them.
- Sunlight or Moonlight: Put your cards in the sunlight for a while, or put them in the moonlight of a full moon so that they take energy from the sun or the moon.
- Meditation: Hold the cards close to your heart and visualize a ball of white light emanating from your heart and enveloping the cards.
- Put your cards in a bowl full of healing crystals.
The rule of thumb is to follow your heart. Do what you feel is right!
You will know when you have to charge your cards – they will tell you. OK, now that sounds scary! The simple version of this is that you charge your cards when you feel that you need to charge your cards.
i like to charge my cards on the full moon coverd buy my eliment mine just happend to be earth so it was easy to keep my cards safe my sisters was water so hers was wrabed in plastic after she wraped in silk. than she set it out on the full moon in fresh rain water. the goddes blessed that night with a clensing rain that charged her cards with an extra blessing. i find fire is the eliment that would be the hardist since you dont want to set your cards on fire so i would repesent them with candles placed at the four directions. air would seem simple enough but i think the eliment should be envoced with incense agian placed at the four directions. but this is just my sugestion. it has worked for me for the last 5 years.
These are indeed some interesting means of charging the cards!
Thanks so much for sharing them with me!
I love #5. Thank you for this idea.
